Who decides?
The organiser controls the public link.
An organiser creates the link for a trip and can revoke it again. Without a valid sharing link, DriBu does not show a public trip.
Each participant also decides separately whether their own location may appear through that public link. Sharing a location within the trip does not automatically enable public visibility.
What do guests see?
Only locations that were explicitly shared.
Current
A recently received, publicly shared location appears as current.
Stale
If no new location arrives for a while, the last update is clearly marked as stale.
Offline
If a device is offline, this is made clear. An old position is not presented as live.
Not public
A participant who has not enabled public visibility does not appear in the public link.
After the drive
The link can be stopped at any time.
Once the organiser revokes sharing, the public view is no longer available through that link. A real drive requires a new link created in DriBu.
